Rethinking Assessment is a broad coalition of school leaders from the state and independent sectors, researchers, policy-makers and employers working with a sense of urgency to find the best ways of evidencing the full range of young peoples’ strengths.
Our Advisory Group provides strategic insight and support to the work of the coalition, and brings together a range of leading voices in education from across all sectors and phases of education, including school leaders, academics, employers, parents, higher education.
Our Working Groups
Throughout 2021 the Rethinking Assessment Working Groups explored better ways of recognising academic strengths, and ways of evidencing the broader skills and dispositions young people need to thrive. This work provided the foundations for our action research programme, and the learner profile concept that we are now developing.
RA Action Research
Our action research pilots are being led by different organisations within our network which have leading expertise in each specific area. We also have a range of other contributors helping to codesign and deliver particular sessions.
